DAILY PROGRAM
Day 1: ARRIVAL
Arrival at Venice airport, welcome by our English speaking tour leader and coach transfer to Lido di Jesolo. Accommodation in a 3* sup. hotel such as Hotel Al Mare or Hotel Grottamare, or similar. Welcome drink. Dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2: VENICE
After breakfast, departure by coach for a daily excursion with our tour leader. In the morning, coach transfer to Punta Sabbioni pier, then crossing by private boat to Piazza San Marco. Meeting with your guide and guided tour of the City of the Doges. Walk through the lanes and bridges of the Serenissima you’ll discover the most famous monuments and places of Venice: Piazza San Marco and its majestic Basilica (external views), the Rialto Bridge and the suggestive canals. Lunch in a typical restaurant in the centre with a Venetian menu. Free afternoon for a personal discovery of the city, or chance to arrange additional visits (optional, not included), such as the unusual Venice, gondola tour, the Doge's Palace, visit of an atelier dedicated to the production of traditional venetian masks and/or the production of typical “gondola”. Back to the hotel by private boat and by bus, dinner and overnight stay.
Day 3: VICENZA - PADUA
After breakfast, departure by coach for a daily excursion with our tour leader. In the morning, guided tour of Vicenza, charmingart city. The guide will lead you through the centre of this splendid city, to admire the works of the famous architect Andrea Palladio: the historic palaces, the Olympic Theatre, the Palladio Courtyard, and then the Piazza dei Signori with the former Palace of Justice and the Bissara Tower with its 12th century Clock (all external views). Free time for lunch (not included) then drive to Padua. In the afternoon, guided tour of Padua, with the famous university founded in the thirteenth century, where Galileo taught, the Palazzo della Ragione, the café Pedrocchi, the oldest in the city and the Basilica of Sant’Antonio (all external views). Free time. At the end of the day, back to the hotel. Dinner and overnight stay.
Day 4: LAGOON ISLANDS
After breakfast, departure by coach for a daily excursion with our tour leader. In the morning, coach transfer to Punta Sabbioni pier, and departure by private boat for a visit to the two islands of the lagoon: Murano and Burano. Murano, the largest of the Lagoon Island, is known all over the world for its glassworks. Then stop in Burano, fishing village famous for the lace shops and its houses with colorful facades. Free time for lunch (not included). Then return to Piazza San Marco and leisure time in the afternoon. Otherwise a visit of the island of Torcello (the third island of the lagoon) may be proposed as an alternative, without any supplement. Back to the hotel by private boat and by bus, dinner and overnight stay.
Day 5: DEPARTURE
Breakfast and coach transfer to Venice airport with our tour escort. Check-in assistance and end of our services.
The price includes:
• 4 nights accommodation on H/B basis in mentioned 3* sup. hotel or similar, in double room
• All dinners excluding beverages
• Welcome drink on the day of arrival
• Typical venetian lunch (day 2)
• The service of a professional English-speaking tour leader from/to the airport and for the whole duration of the tour, accommodation and meal costs included
• Local guide services as mentioned in the program
• Transportation by air-conditioned G.T. bus according to the itinerary, including all city access fees as currently in force, and including meals and/or accommodation expenses necessary for the driver
• The private boats to Venice and Lagoon Islands and taxes
• VAT as currently in force 10% for hotels, 5% for maritime transport, 22% other services
